Rubber Development Fund Incorporated (RDFI) and Rubber Planters Association of Liberia (RPAL) Address the Media
In a bid to inform the general public, especially stakeholders in the rubber industry of Liberia, of major achievements in the industry since the hosting of the Rubber National Conference held in Gbarnga City, Bong County on November 8-9, 2024, the RDFI and the RPAL held a joint press.
During this press conference, thanks and appreciations were given to His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, as well as all of the stakeholders in the industry who in some way or another, contributed to the successful hosting of the conference.
Additionally, key achievements since the Conference were highlighted, including the setting up of an 8-member national committee -Liberia National Rubber Pricing Committee (LNRPC)-to determine and post up monthly rubber prices in Liberia. This is a significant achievement, especially since the beginning of rubber production in this country, it had always been the buyer (i.e. processors) that set the price.
To wrap up, plans for the future were disclosed.
