Who We Are
The Rubber Development Fund Inc. (RDFI) is a not-for-profit institution established through an Act of the Liberian Legislature in 2014, with approval on December 27, 2016, and formal publication into handbills on January 26, 2017. As a public-private partnership, RDFI is dedicated to supporting the Government of Liberia’s (GOL) efforts to improve and modernize the rubber sector.
Our Purpose
RDFI was created to ensure the development and modernization of Liberia’s rubber industry by:

Introducing innovative practices and advancing research.

Supporting human resource development for improved productivity.

Enhancing the performance and competitiveness of Liberia’s rubber supply chain and value chain activities.
Our Core Functions
RDFI plays a vital role in the rehabilitation and development of Liberia’s rubber sector through initiatives such as:
- Planting and replanting 200,000 hectares of rubber trees over 15 years.
- Promoting fair and transparent rubber trade by developing trade rules.
- Providing technical, advisory, and consultancy services to stakeholders.
- Establishing certified nurseries to ensure the quality of planting materials.
- Facilitating long-term credit and financial support for farmers.
- Introducing cutting-edge technologies and global best practices.
- Advocating for policies to improve the rubber industry and supporting value-added processing.
